(Roger Nichols engineers all CD Mastering Sessions.)
It's All In The Detailer.
In 1992 Roger invented a process for improving the perception of the detail in a finished mix. Roger uses this process in everything he mixes and masters. The depth and clarity is like nothing you have ever heard before (unless you have heard some of Roger's Grammy winning records).
"Every time I listen to my CD I hear something that I hadn't noticed before, something that I gave up on during that mix. Amazing. It sounds like Roger re-mixed my record just the way I originally wanted it to be."
These are the kind of comments we receive every day from satisfied customers. Roger is recording and mixing records, teaching Master Classes around the world, and Mastering CDs in Los Angeles, CA.

Quality Assurance
Roger Nichols formed Roger Nichols Mastering (formerly Digital Atomics) to provide quality mastering at an affordable price geared for the independent producer and independent record label. Digital Atomics is set up so that the client sends their master via FedEx, Roger masters the project and sends back a CD ref, usually within one day. The client usually approves the ref on the first pass. So far after nine years Roger is batting 1000. Every ref sent to a client has been approved the first time. After approval, the CD master is cut, verified for audio quality and error checked on a Stage Tech EC2 CD error checker, and then sent to the CD plant chosen by the client.
CD PreMastering
Roger Nichols has been mastering his own records for over 35 years, from The Grass Roots. and The Four Tops in the '70s to Steely Dan, Bela Fleck, and the Beach Boys. Top artists have relied on Roger for the quality of their final product. In 1995 Roger Nichols founded Digital Atomics to provide others with the same quality of sound.
